Who we are
Tiaki Journal is a New Zealand family photo journal service. We print and post a beautiful monthly journal to your grandparents, created from photos contributed by your family. You can contact us at hello@tiakijournal.co.nz.
What we collect
We collect the information needed to provide our service: your name and email address when you subscribe; photos and captions uploaded by family contributors; delivery addresses for your grandparents; and billing information processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
How we use it
We use your information solely to provide the Tiaki Journal service — generating your monthly journal, printing it, and posting it to your grandparents. We do not use your photos for marketing, share them with third parties, or use them for any purpose other than creating your journal.
Who we share it with
We share limited information with the third-party services that help us operate: Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (secure data storage), and our print partner (delivery address and journal file only). All partners are bound by their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active. Journal PDFs are kept indefinitely so you can revisit and reorder them at any time, even years later. If you cancel your subscription and request deletion of your data, we will action this within 30 days.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections. To make a request, email us at hello@tiakijournal.co.nz.
